Kati Did Originals is a small business specializing in botanically dyed and eco-printed textiles to wear and use in everyday life. Each piece is a unique record of the flora from different seasons and locales. Through the process of eco-printing, plant pigment is transferred directly to fabric, paper or another surface. All of the color on Kati Did Originals products comes directly from nature!

As the founder and proprietor, Kate Daley is a painter and printmaker who is passionate about working in harmony with the natural environment. Kati Did Originals was conceived to make these art forms more accessible to art lovers and friendlier toward the earth. “Katydid” was once a funny yet irksome childhood nickname. With a spelling change and a new spin on the meaning, “Kati Did” now represents the creativity, skill and pride that are part of each one-of-a-kind item.

Kate resides in the beautiful Hudson Valley region in NY State with her partner, child and two mischievous cats. She studied art at Binghamton University, the New York Studio School and the International School of Art in Italy. She holds an M.S.Ed in Museum Education from Bank Street College.

“The quality of the fabric is so soft and natural. You can tell how unique each piece is and that makes every item she sells even more special.”
